Spring in Amsterdam feels like the city is slowly waking up. Softer light filters through the trees, and the air carries the scent of something new. Life spills gently onto the streets: bikes glide past, cafés hum with quiet conversation, and the canals shimmer in the afternoon sun.
One of my favorite parts of this season is the cherry blossom in Amsterdam. For a brief moment in March or April, the city transforms. In quiet corners and unexpected streets, soft pink petals appear like a secret shared only with those who wander slowly enough to notice.
I took this photo of the cherry blossom in Amsterdam on one of those quiet walks through the city center, though I didn’t plan it. I just looked up and there it was, full of light, color, and stillness. Petals drifting through the air like something out of a dream.
For me, spring in the city is more than just about the cherry blossom in Amsterdam - it really is very beautiful. It’s peaceful, a little nostalgic, and full of quiet magic.
