Magic moments

The surprising glare of the warm sun shows its magic this Sunday evening. Clouds slide in front of its rays while the light sparkles on the slowly moving water of this random canal. This synthesis is art in its totality and immediately pulls the viewer under its spell.

Many situations constantly open up just like this one, yet this particular moment attracts more attention. Though this encounter is unpredictable, it is a pleasant surprise, unlike many others!

As the mind starts to digest what the eyes see, it feels like slowly waking up from a dream. The moment when the stunning picture slowly fades until you are finally awake. While the situation impresses me, its colors start to fate just like when dreaming. And so, this magic is soon to be over again.

I took this photo in June 2021 in Amsterdam. As you can see from the photo, the sky was absolutely magical over the Loozingskanaal in Amsterdam Oost on the day I took it. The colors were so vibrant and beautiful that I just had to include it in my “Amsterdam Calendar“. I’m sure everyone who sees it will be just as enchanted by it as I am!
